Simple WhatsApp Button

One button, and the number is right.
A button next to the number on every contact that opens WhatsApp with it already filled in. No account, no API key, no configuration, and no outbound connection from Odoo. The whole module is the part everyone gets wrong: turning what is in an address book into what WhatsApp will accept.
One-off licence per Odoo instance, invoiced directly. Not on the Odoo Apps Store yet.

What it does
Small, and done properly
The number, handled
Reads Mobile, falls back to Phone, strips formatting, converts a 00 prefix, and applies the contact’s country dialling code when the number is written nationally.
It hides rather than guesses
When the result would not be a valid number - a national number with no country, an extension appended, letters - the button does not appear at all. A button that opens a chat with the wrong person is worse than no button.
Nothing leaves Odoo
The link is built in Python and followed by the browser when somebody clicks. Odoo never contacts WhatsApp, and nothing is recorded.
Free, and built like a paid one
Same documentation set and same test discipline as the paid modules: 18 tests, most of them about the cases where no link should be produced. It is the smallest end of something larger, not a demo of it.

Questions we get asked
No. Nothing here talks to WhatsApp at all.
The number is not usable. Most often it is a national number on a contact with no country set, so there is no way to tell which dialling code to apply. Setting the country makes the button appear.
No, and it never will. Opening a chat is a person clicking a link. Sending from Odoo needs the WhatsApp Business API - that is TechnoVision WhatsApp Core, and this is not a cut-down version of it.
Because a free module under a proprietary licence is a free module nobody can read, fork or trust.
