How to use Product Barcode & Label Printing, screen by screen.
Printing labels
The quickest route is from wherever the products already are.
- Open any product list - Sales - Products, Inventory - Products, or a variant list.
- Tick the products you want labels for.
- Actions - Print Labels (the cog menu).
- Check the layout, set the quantities, press Print.
The wizard opens prefilled with everything you selected, one label each.
You can also open it empty from Labels - Print Labels and add the products by hand, or from the label template form's test button.

Check Total pages before printing. It is the difference between noticing a typo now and noticing it after forty sheets.
Part-used sheets
This is the feature that pays for the module.
A sheet with the first five labels peeled off is still a usable sheet. Set Start at Label to 6 and the first five cells print blank, so the output lines up with what is left.
Count the missing labels the way the sheet is numbered: left to right, then down a row. The first label of the second row on a three-column sheet is number 4.
Quantities
Each line has its own count. Ten of one product and three of another is two lines, and they print grouped - ten, then three - rather than interleaved, which is what anyone applying them expects.
A line with a quantity of zero is skipped.
Prices
If the template has Sales Price ticked, each label carries the price. If the template also names a pricelist, that pricelist's price is used instead of the product's own.
Keeping two templates - one plain, one pointing at your trade pricelist - is how you get retail and trade labels from the same products without maintaining anything twice.
Printing the PDF
Two settings in your print dialog matter more than anything in Odoo:
- Scale: 100%, not "Fit to page". Fit-to-page shrinks the sheet by about 4% and every label misses.
- Paper size: the actual size. A4 sheet templates print on A4; a roll template prints on a page the size of the label, and your thermal printer should be set to that size or to "use printer's own".
If labels are consistently a few millimetres out and the same amount out everywhere, scaling is almost always the reason.
Barcodes
A product with no barcode prints No barcode where the barcode would be, rather than a blank space. That is deliberate: a blank looks like a printing fault, and the point is to tell you the product data is incomplete.
Set barcodes on the products, or turn the barcode off in the template.
Roll printers
A roll template prints one label per page. Feed is handled by the printer, not by Odoo. If your printer feeds an extra blank label between prints, that is its own gap or media setting, not the PDF.

You need the Label Designer group to create or change a template; everyone can print from one.
